ATTN: Masami Shipmates!

It has been a smooth sailing with you all, but I predict our ship will finally come to its demise today.

So let’s just embrace our current canon as hard as you can right now, because not even Canon can beat endgame (makorra).

“It’ll be okay.”
He said the words so calm.  As though her home wasn’t just raided; as though she didn’t need to leave behind all she knew.  As though her father wasn’t an Equalist.
She gazed at the lights of Republic City, now distant and tiny as stars from her perch in the police airship.  Each little flicker was a window to a family—a window to mothers and fathers breaking bread across from sons and daughters, or maybe newlyweds getting ready to go to sleep.  Here was a brother reading about the tales of Aang and his friends.  There was a sister writing about her first encounter with the new boy at school.  Every square of light was stability.  Order.  A reminder that all was right with the world.
Except nothing was right and Asami didn’t have a world anymore.  She blinked her eyes toward Mako and then buried herself in his chest and lost herself in the rhythm of his heart and breath.  She felt his arms envelop her and beat beat beat breathe in breathe out and she was safe in that warm protective darkness.
“It’ll be okay,” he repeated softly.  He gently kissed her head.
“I know,” she whispered into the folds of his scarf.
And she knew.__Based on LoK Episode 7
